Long weekend indeed..

It’s really no holiday for me honestly.  I am beginning to feel very exhausted and yet I’m not resting enough.  I’m not trying to be a workaholic, but I’m really having a hard time juggling the consequences of being too ambitious with work (FT & PT). 

 

Anyways, last week had been crazy honestly.  Work was just madness and there was barely any time of rest.  Thursday night onwards was just crazy cos the queen invited some friends over and we (the kids & L) had to help out on the grilling (we had tandoori chicken), serving, washing, drying, serving, washing, drying, serving… By the time I called it a nite and headed back into my room to continue my PT work.. it was already almost midnite.  I slept past 1am and woke up again the next morning; early enuff to get ready & then call in to meeting.  I tell you… I struggled big time to stay awake during the call.  Nevertheless, I rushed in to work and had only 10 mins to walk over to Building 2 for another meeting.  Again…struggle! If not because of the silly projector that kept flickering off and I had to move the mouse vigorously at every 1 min internal.. I would have snored my way to slumberland.  The remaining hours of the day (i was on half day) was just running up stairs to prepare for next week’s big day and of cos attending to emails & phone calls.  Am I a fire fighter or wat?! Argh! Turned out me and L only left work past 1pm (so much of half day leave).

 

We had a house blessing last Friday.  Pastor & wife, and 3 other sets of couples from my CG (we didnt plan the couple thingy!) came along to bless the home.  It was kinda embarrassing.  The way things were “arranged” (Methodistcally of coz), it was as though we were going through a marriage matrimony! Eek! But anyhow.. it was a wonderful evening together – time of prayers, fellowship and food! 🙂 Our home is now blessed and protected by our Heavenly Father; and no evil shalt attempt to intrude *Amen*

 

Alrightey, I really have to get back to work.  I fell into continous deep slumber since after dinner tonite. I just could not rip myself off the bed.  L just let me drown between my bolsters until i screamed for assistance to peel myself away.  So, now…would be payback time… *sigh*

 

Happy Thaipusam (or whatever’s left)…and Happy Holidays (again..for whatever’s left).

 

Boo for me & L…. we have to work tomorrow! Crapso!

Dong dong Qiang!

My friend “sang” this to me on Facebook the other day… “Oink si, Oink si, Oink si ni” @_@

 

 

If you know me long enough, you’ll know CNY is definitely not my cuppa. In fact, I wish it would pass quickly so that I don’t have to bother about the hassle. The past 2 years when mama-pig wasn’t around, it was hell for me. Taking over the mama role and having to do everything (almost) alone was completely crazy and almost killed me flat. Imagine having to work, study, change money, clean house, pack angpow, list down who to give angpow to, shop for goodies to give away, decorate house, remember to get up on time for house visiting, etc..etc..! OMG! @_@ Crazzeeee

 

BUT suddenly, I think I’m beginning to welcome CNY more this year. I can’t wait in fact! Cos I honestly need that officially-declared break from all my work! I just want to take a breather for a week although it’s not entirely a break cos I’m not taking additional days off. But heck! I really am tempted to declare it a sleep-in holiday! If only mama-pig permits *wails*
